Here's the thing. Alien is in a category where there are tons and tons of qualified designers. If someone is a prick like p1mpdogg on the boards and can back up a deal I do with him off the boards, that is all good. I look past that. It has to do with the position you play and every position has so many players. There are only so many program owners, as an example. However, designers are coming out the wazoo.

The way I see it, if Alien doesn't like my views on something and wants to verbally assault me for them, then well, why would I give him work? So he can be in the middle of the job I hired him to do he can meltdown on me and cause issues mid project? It's easier for a project manager/business owner like me to go elsewhere and avoid the hassle. There's nothing Alien does that someone else can't do for me, so I will avoid the possibility of confrontation by default.

He doesn't give a shit. He will tell you. He's rich, he doesn't need my money, or my clients money when we do design jobs. He'll tell you. He has so much work that he doesn't need a few piddly thousand dollars.

I like him, but fuck all if this guy is gonna tell me to fuck myself when I can see the trends and the industry move and he can't. Piss on that.

Anyway, just wanted to clarify that for you. Keep on making sense, because you really do, I just wanted to tell you WHY this hurts Alien when he does bullshit like this.
