several years ago I had a rather silly "accident" while driving my motorcycle
some (fairly big) cat suddenly crossed the street and ended up under by front-tyre ... causing me lose ballance and crash
Cat wasn't dead or anything, it belonged to people who lived right there were the accident happened ... their insurrance had to pay for all the damages, not mine
Can't have your pents running around on the street i guess.
Still sucks something happened to your cat, I'd be pissed also
she could have apologized and say that she didn't see the little fellaSpank me
Dude, where's my traffic?Comment

I don't get it. Are cats not allowed outdoors in the US & Canada then without the owner watching them or something ?Originally posted by MetaMani dont think it is legal to have your animal running around outdoors, that is why the SPCA picks them up.
We have cats roaming around here all the time. You can't take them out on a leish (ok some cats you can).
Our last cat was an outdoor cat, then some assholes who live around here decided to kill her. One of whom i was glad to hear got stabbed several times a few weeks ago and is in a bad way. Hope the prick dies.
The stupid bitch either doesn't even know she hit it, or she is just an ignorant tramp. I wouldn't let it rest. Go sort her out ! You are NOT in the wrong...The fact that the bitch did not even had a curtesy to stop and say something, while the animal ran around in agony pisses me offComment

So do you all keep your cats indoors 24/7 ??Originally posted by PurrrsianPussyKatWhy would you let such a sweet little baby outside?

My current cat is now a house cat, but like i said in my previous post, thats only because of the assholes who live around here can't be trusted...Comment

Yes!Originally posted by Scott McDSo do you all keep your cats indoors 24/7 ??
Not one cat I have owned for the past 25 years has gone outside.
They all have plenty of window perches so they can watch the birds.
None of them complain in the least.
If you never taste ice cream, you don't miss it.

Sure we have indoor cats (like my current one), but overall everywhere you go you see cats wandering about. Practically everyone that i know let's their cats outside.
My last cat used to love lying outside on a hot summers day, and i always fell that my cat now is missing out, as she just sits on the window ledge looking out...

No that wouldn't be right.Originally posted by CristieYou have to punish her! Do something like that to her car and pet.
Instead I would suggest borrowing SmokeyTheBear's cat leash and whipping the bitch's ass cheeks with it

Maybe she should sue you. You are the one that let a domesticated animal run into a roadway, causing it to be struck by a vehicle. Then you didn't even have the common courtesy to go apologize to her and see if you need to pay for any repairs to her vehicle.
That's probably her thinking. There's two perspectives to every story like this.
Also, what if she is driving, your cat runs into the road causing her to panic and swerve and run over and kill a child. Who's fault is it then? Who will be apologizing? Funny how you just decide it is all her fault.Comment

If she was really driving inappropriately fast I would call the cops, not so much for your own benefit or for legal purposes but to teach the girl a lesson. It will shake her up a bit to have the cops knocking at her door and make her think twice before a) speeding, and b) hitting someone's pet and carelessly failing to even apologize or help it or anything. Teach her a lesson.
We heard a cat get hit by a car a couple of weeks ago and turned around to see what caused the noise: the cat was fucking flopping around and bleeding out of its head in the street before it died. It was HORRIBLE. Still, it wasn't the person's fault who hit it -- if your cat needs to be an outside cat, chances are it will run through its nine lives pretty fast.Comment

I seriously doubt cops go knock on someones door when somebody calls to tattle on somebody driving too fast. And from Jeffrey Dahmer's perspective those people shouldn't have walked by his house if they didn't want to find themselves on his dinner plate.Originally posted by SwordFishThat's probably her thinking. There's two perspectives to every story like this.
The fact that there's two perspectives to a story doesn't necessarily make both of them valid. My signature is almost invisible.Comment
