Think you may be right fuzebox - the ususal scam with little originality and where it's mainly gringos who rip each other off?
Had one "team" arrive on our land - one, at least was a surveyor. They thought they could just map and plot the land and sell it to unsuspecting gringos. They cut some locks/chains on the way, but had an armed reception party waiting - all were OK, except one who got mouthy. A very nice guard thought he was behaving improperly and with little respect, so he was carried off flat on his back The police knew of em already - they had a corrupt deal going on in the land registry.
Anyone know's that to run a successful brothel 1st thing you have to have are quality women, I will almost Guarantee you that this guy isn't importing his girls from columbia, and if you have a brothel anywhere in central or south america and don't have quality columbian women it's not going to make $$$

Don't ask my why that's just how it is.
has anyone ever heard of due diligence?....lol
"Is possible to buy, separately, a licence for brothel, that was operating in this place more than 15 years ago and is the only one available in the whole Osa Peninsula."

That quoted para is a total load of junk in respect of selling a property. Smells more like a flytrap to the fly and getting an interest in a sex basis where other elements of the law and illegal. Try getting a refund on a property where you were purchasing this for criminal activity - it's a blackmail scenario
The stuff about importing Columbian women where the keyword is "importing" will get ya 16 years (forget how nice this is "arranged"). It's called human trafficking and the Interpol office is open normal hours for all enquiries
Just out of casual interest and if there is nothing better to do - I'm going there soon with our own real estate person - so will check this out. Never met him yet, but will be speaking with the local "mayor" (he's the guy who issues any permits) - will be amusing to see his reaction to brothels
Bottom line... prostitution is legal - introduce third parties into that where they gain a monetory advantage, and it's a jail cell.
I spoke to a GoGo/ Massage= Brothel owner in SanJose. Said the start up was about 250K USD and it grosses a mil. Now if your going to try to buy one thats established you'll pay out your ass.

And that's the reason there are a number of "established brothels" on the market, - and have been for many months, - with no takers and asking prices between $180K and $300K ish?
Hear ya man, and not that I have any interest - but would not trust *anything* that comes out of a human mouth here when it comes to biz. Don't matter who says it - "professionals", realtors, surveyors, vendors or "businessmen" - all best dealt with by trusted lawyers with something to lose.

Thats what I'm saying your better off building your own. I agree use a lawyer for everything down there.
Reason #7,487 that I live in Panama. Costa Rica is a clusterfuck.
I've got a walk-in for a brothel license and land in Bocas Del Toro. But unlike most gringos, my walk-in is a Panamanian who was the congressman for Bocas for 25 years, who's family name is on half the streets and is the guy everybody else pays to speed up their licenses, protect them from this and that, etc. He's my girlfriend's friend since childhood. We've been working on this for over 6 months now, just haven't found the right investor yet. Too many gringo swindlers that didn't expect due diligence.
Anybody wants to own a real brothel in Paradise, don't get raped in Costa Rica. Hit me up and I'll set you up in Panama. I've been in and around that business for in excess of 10 years and have the local connections to make it happen safely, legally and quickly. The Columbian girls are already here, no importation necessary. I've also got connections for Costa Rican, Dominican and even Russian girls, if you want them too.
I'm just too poor to do it myself and too busy trying not to be poor.
