And cigarettes are available to buy in lots of stores. Those recipes you speak of are mostly bodybuilding recipes. I would never take any nutritional advice from a bodybuilder.
It is true, that you'd have to be very unlucky to get salmonella poisoning. But why take the risk when you don't have to? No scientific evidence has ever proven that cooking eggs reduces the protein content either. This is a myth that dates back to the early 19th century. The myth still continues to this day.
