They just showed on my local news that people were lined up all the way around the outside of Dennys to get the free grand slam breakfast worth $5.

They said Dennys expects to give away 2 million free meals today

Yeah, there's a Denny's kitty-corner from the Channel 5 TV studio here in L.A., that must have been a real tough remote.

That Denny's was a dump when I worked in that neighborhood, too. Looks like they cleaned it up for The Big Day. Not entirely the fault of the Denny's: between the tourists and the street people it got grunged out pretty quickly.

Never forget my first time in the US was Denny's for breakfast and talk about culture shock! How the hell do you people eat so much??! Portion sizes of meals over there are absolutely insane, we ended up ordering one main most meals and sharing it between the 2 of us, and still had leftovers half the time. Great value for money though!

Drove by the Denny's in the parking lot next to my bank. There were a lot of really obese people in sweatpants standing outside.

i highly doubt it. me personally i would tip them 10 or so, just to make up for all the freeloaders who wouldn't tip. the average tip is around .75, or whatver chnage left their coffe purchase.

I know that denny's well. A lot of my friends used to live around the corner from there. The amount of homeless that sleep right there is insane.
