I actually just wrote the author an email telling him how ridiculously slanted the article was (quoting that piece) and that I was offended that the LA Times even printed it.

I'm always up for a challenge and respect people that want to push themselves, but she's in for one hell of a ride. That school is SERIOUSLY academically challenging, especially the psychology major. If it's such a pain in the ass to get there everyday and she admits that she's not the most academically inclined, then why subject yourself to that? Again, I get that it was the most prestigious school that she got into, but the students there are super competitive. I think she'll probably end up transferring
