    Alternatives for Flash Media Server ?

    Are there any alternatives for Flash Media Server on *NIX? I mean the licence costs are so fucking high 150 ? 2500 Concurrent connections $4500

          Flash Media Server is outrageously priced, we are looking into it and cant justify the expense. Ill have to look into the other posted here

              Why do you think you need a flash streaming server? What are you actually _streaming_? (streaming as in live content?)

              The free sites use nothing, basically.

                Full length movies and i want to user to be able to skip in the movie without downloading it first.

                But i wrote my own streaming thing now. Works like a charm ...
