I could be wrong here, but I don't think their site ever went down, in fact heres a nice little scam they TRIED to pull during the height of their drama....
So they loose their ICANN status (not that they ever really officially held any they were just reselling from Enom!)
At any rate, I moved all my names to Godaddy (I had no choice Godaddy actually TOOK them lol) but I could STILL log-in to Reg-fag and my domains would STILL SHOW as being there.
When it came time to renew a domain name Reg-Fag actually TRIED TO BILL ME for what they did not even have.
They been up and running for awhile now (after the shit they pulled). They started using tucows after icann shutdown their straight access for registering domains. They even try/tried to hide the fact that some of the same owners are behind it still. It's amazing the shit they pulled... If you had cash in your account before the shit hit the fan it's gone now, the domains they caused people to lose and actually stole.

Yea they tried the same with me, but all my names I couldn't get out myself were sent to enom.. Luckily I was able to get quite a few of them over to moniker with help from them.
I will say this, before they went rouge I never had any problems and I managed to snag a lot of names via their expirefish.com. However that was before sites like snap names worked deals out with the registars.

First they were just a reseller, then they were a real registrar. Their shit stopped working, people were stealing $$ in company, they were stealing domains and tons of other shit. ICANN made it so they weren't a real registrar anymore so they started up again reselling through tucows. All I can say is fuck tucows or anyone else that helped them open up shop again.

According to what the folks at Enom told me Reg-Fag were NEVER EVER more then a reseller, they got in allot of shit for even claiming they EVER were accredited via ICANN, whether or not that was actually true I have no idea.
I just know they were nothing more then scammy fucks who should never be allowed to sign another client ever again!

It was true for about a year. A lot of people didn't even know because it was such a short time. Quite a few people saw the shit hit the fan before they ever had to official switch their domain from enom to officially registerfly. I wasn't so lucky, but I did get most my domains out except one and they stole bunch of my monies, ffffffffffuckers. The domain I lost went to enom because registerfly system wasn't working half the time even though it looked like it did. So I called enom and they told me I needed a trademark yadda yadda to get it back. It still makes me want to move every last domain away from enom to moniker. Although I do use moniker for most of my domains.

Yeah I do remember (and also just checked lol) and Enom did end up with about 10 of my domains, I had thought I moved them all last year, cause I really did not want to leave anything with Enom since they were responsible for the whole Reg-Fag thing in a way, they were a reseller of theirs, and they KNEW what they were doing.
How is Moniker HONESTLY, I've heard both good and bad about them over the years, I ALMOST switched to them exclusively back when Chipmunk got picked up by them, but he vanished from there pretty quick and I got a bit weary of them.
Right now the bulk of my names sit on Godaddy, and I don't like that as Bob has been VERY VERY vocal about his outright distane for the porn industry, but allot of my domain names are paid till 2010 so they just sit for now.

He has ?!?! I had no clue...
I also had domains at regfraud and most got switched to godaddy and a few to enom. Godaddy seems fine, although I hate all the excessive advertisement and sales crap...
I have been looking for a decent low price registrar ( for more than 200 domains ) but have settled in GD, dotster and namecheap.

I haven't had any problems with them and I use namecheap + moniker. I switched to namecheap first so that's why I still have domains there, I just haven't bothered moving them. The first time I contacted moniker years ago it was hard getting a hold of them, so I went to namecheap first. But ever since I tried using them (years now) they always answer phone or reply to tickets pretty quick. They got this gggggirl on icq you can talk too, (Bari). Which is kind of cool, I don't know any other registrar that has icq support. If ya have a lot of domains they'll give you some good discounts too if you email them.
