    Overclocked i7 920 2.67 to 3.4

    I encode one minute video clips to FLV using the Adobe Media Encoder.

    My old AMD based computer use to take around 10 minutes to encode. My new overclocked i7 920 3.4 with an ASUS P6T motherboard now takes about 45 seconds.


    All I did to overclock my system was to go into the BIOS > AI TWEAKER > change the overclock option from AUTO to MANUAL. I then raised my BCLK from 133 to 166 and left everything else on AUTO.


    I must be in the top 10 GFYers in baddest computer.

          Got mine up to 4.2, but I eventually had to back off to 3.8Ghz. I have good cooling, though.

          Been running great for 2 weeks. This is the best chip I've ever seen. It's twice as fast as my other machines.
