My take on this sonofsam thing.....

Moving along.....

Several people have tried to help SOS in one way or another over the last year or so. Most of those people were treated like shit, called thieves and scammers, and generally disrespected overall by SOS.

Yes, he is young....But that is no excuse for the SameOldShit day in and day out. We, as a society, are supposed to learn from our mistakes and try to better ourselves by analysing what we did wrong and trying to avoid doing it again in the future. Anybody who is too dumb to comprehend this does not deserve to share the same air as those of us who do.

SOS has certainly seemed to have flamed out, but I feel he was helped along the way. No need to be so smug here Aaron, had you refunded him, perhaps he would have been able to follow a different path. You certainly could have afforded it, I would venture to guess.

With that said, I think many people do not realize the cost of producing their own content, nor know how to succesfully market a site/program, let alone have the business acumen to be profitable in this highly competitive business. Given what has transpired, I'm not altogether certain that SOS would have been able to make it had his circumstances been different.

As I understand it, you went through a bancruptcy yourself Aaron. If so, kudos to you for pulling through. You have a great gift with your talent as a photographer. However, you belittle yourself when you gloat about the failures and shortcomings of others, given your own experience and struggles.

I might expect you to trot out the same tired "troll" name calling etc, but maybe you will surprise me this time and rise above it and realize that I am not posting this with any malice towards you, simply some observations which might benefit if you choose to be open-minded.

My apology in that case. I'm pretty sure Donny went through such an experience, and for some reason I thought I read in a thread somewhere that you went through the same or a similar hardship (something about a trailer, but maybe that was just an inside joke).

My point was, that I think it is safe to say that nearly all of us who were not raised with a silver spoon have been through various adversities, and therefore we should not feel as if we need to celebrate in the sufferings of others.

I would be pretty surprised if Acne was SoS. One thing about SoS, right or wrong, he didn't care what people thought of him and had no problem saying what he thought.

On a personal level I like the guy, I think he's funny and I get along with him fine. On a business level he has a lot to learn, has made some mistakes, and probably needs some humility.
