It's too bad they don't card people for their age before entering the mall...age limit of, umm, 18 I guess. Seriously I'm tired of going to malls where parents use the place as some sort of free daycare center for their marauding brats.
          See Sig...oh wait.

The statute defines the crime of kidnapping in part by using the words "unlawfully removing a person from where his is found." First you must understand that the unlawfulness of removing a person from where (he/she) is found, that is, where the victim happened to be at the moment of the unlawful removal, does not depend upon the distance a victim is moved.

In other words, the unlawful removal to any specific location or of a specific distance is not necessary to the offense so long as the removal was unlawful, that is,....accomplished by force, threat, or deception, ...accomplished without the consent of parent, guardian or other person responsible for the general supervision

I remember a story from a few years back when a father came to his daughters aid b/c another girl was beating her up. The father held the girl and called police. He was charged with unlawful inprisonment of a minor, child abuse, and put on the sex offender registry for the rest of his life. All this for protecting his child.

That's what I was thinking. Then again, I've had one kid say random crap to me once because of a hat I was wearing...although he didn't keep it up.

nah, you'll be charged with kidnapping, simply push him on the ground and fall on top of him 5 times, you can always claim that it was an accident

I did one many years ago with 4 gangbanger punks that were cruising down Wilshire Blvd in Beverly in a beatup car and deliberately sideswiping other cars.

I was heading west late at night and they were heading east and went over the line into the wrong lane and nearly did a headon into my car. As I was doing a U to go after them since I thought it was a drunk driver, another driver who had been hit by them yelled out they were deliberately ramming cars off the road.

I had one of my K-9 trained dogs in the back seat so I floored it to catch up to them, zoomed in right behind them and lit there car interior up with my high power spot light using a wigwag motion, gave my dog his bark and hold command over the loudspeaker on my CB radio, so they could hear I had a police dog with me, and ordered them one by one out of the car over the loudspeaker and got them all down on the street.

I was surprised they complied but I guess between the light and the intensity of the K-9 bark, and the sounds of police sirens in the distant background, they figured they were being pulled over by an undercover cop.

It was one of the longest minutes ever waiting for the BHPD officers to arrive, but they got there pretty quick and were amazed I had all the fucktards controlled and all down on the ground already.

                    cool story
This dog, is dog, a dog, good dog, way dog, to dog, keep dog, an dog, idiot dog, busy dog, for dog, 20 dog, seconds dog!

Now read without the word dog.

Sheesh.. assuming that was all there was to the incident - totally fucked up laws and little clue of what "unlawful imprisonment", "child abuse" or "sex offenders" are all about.

Sad to say, the flip side where several countries have laws for "civil arrest" and detainment pending arrival of law enforcement - can see that would have little chance of not being abused by the level of idiocy in certain geo locations.

Actually, just head to mall security and inform them that the kid was trying to steal your wallet. They'll kick the little kid out in no time.

You run the risk of being classified as a sex offender if you so much as touch a child you have no reason being near.

heres what you do to lippy kids.. always keep a squirt gun filled with ammonia or urine or something really stinky. then just squirt them with it.. nobody likes getting squirted with piss, its not assault , and if they decide to hit you , then you have the right to hit them back.. but keep in mind they are just kids not adults....

as soon as you lay your hands on someone you can be arrested for simple battery.

keep your fucking hands to yourself unless your life or the lives of others are in danger. asshole.

Once again, utterly absurd concept at a base level. Sure, assaulting children or anyone is "out of order", but the stupidity of being classified as a "sex offender" when there is no sexual connotation, is beyond the ridiculous.

On that subject.. but with adults, - a very quiet and charming lady was sitting with a friend in a US restaurant recently. An asshole got into the habit of interupting them - obviously trying to hit on em.

After a few sessions of his shit, this quiet and charming lady quickly lands her elbow on his face with a blow and breaks his nose and he ends up on the floor for a short time while they continue with their meal.

Eventually the guy runs out holding his face and law arrive and the officer explains.. "Mam, it can be very dangerous dealing with people like that" She replies with a grin, "You think??"

The cop was never made aware the person he was speaking to had handled more total nutters (and some very extreme cases) in a law agency role than he's likely to see in his whole career. There were of course, no charges
