Considering it's from an ex business partner and long time friend, as long as you can trust that he isn't going to pass on a lemon to you then it's not a bad deal. I would suggest getting a mechanic to check it out though. When things go wrong with a bmw it's not cheap.

Oh I agree, I have know the car since he has had it. He did purchase it from brand new. I will take your advice and have the local BMW dealer look it over since they also were the ones to maintain it for the most part.

If you are indeed purchasing the 2.3 manual. Adjust search on KBB for automatic if that's what it is. Also, if it's the 2.8, you have about $3,000 more worth of car. Go for it.
