    what the fuck is CW?

    it's channel 12 here, i think it used to be UPN. obviously CW bought them out or something, but what is CW?

                          uhhh nope. it's in full effect over here. every commercial has the CW logo and everything. dr phil's like "i'm coming to CW!" i'm watching the giants/padres game and even the announcers said something about "right here on CW."

                              That's advertising. There's no sense in advertising UPN or WB any longer. UPN stopped inserting their logo into programming on the 14th, the same time that UPN and WB affiliates started inserting CW logos.

                              UPN officially ends on September 15th with its broadcast of WWE Smackdown. And The WB ends on September 17th after airing pilots for Angel, Buffy, Dawson's Creek and Felicity. Then The CW launches on September 18th.
