Is it just me or has the media become increasingly anti-War in the states?

    Is it just me or has the media become increasingly anti-War in the states?

    From my local CBS newsbroadcast last night and then Nightline (especially) to Good Morning America this morning, the press seems to have gotten much more anti-War. It seems like they thought we'd have no casualties. Once we actually experienced some combat casualties, now they act completely surprised.

    What's the deal?

              I think they are still staying neutral, but expressing concern over the lost soldiers... Just my humble opinion.

                  because those are very liberal media outlits. They show support initially, then back off that. They did the same exact thing with afghanistan.

                          I really have no idea but it's definately weird. Even CNN and MSNBC have had some anti-war comments slip out of their mouth. That general that does the reports on MSNBC has had to backtrack a couple of times when talking about the fierce fighting we have in Basra etc. Haven't seen much on the morning shows but it does seem the views on it are evolving overall. Go figure. Just wish they would decide to ignore it and buy porn.

                              The US public has goten used to wars like Kosovo and Afganistan. Even do Iraq isint a superpower there armies are way beyond what those 2 nations had

                                  I have been told from reliable unconfirmed intelligence sources ( a friend of another friend's friend ) that the ratings of CNN could be possibily heading down.

                                  But please, this is an unconfirmed Pentagon report.....

                                                              The news media is about the bottom line. There was a time when the news media did not earn money for the networks, and instead cost them money. In those days they reported news after the fact, not rumor, innuendo, or spectulation. Now the news is more entertainment, rumor, spectulation, exploitation, and the bottom line. They use far to many adjectives (that are often misleading), exploit stories, and basically try to stir up shit to keep viewers watching. Out of all of this one gets tid bits of truth.

                                                                  I'm not anti war, I think we should kick peoples ass where possible. Take Korea for instance, we should assasinate all of those officials. Drop a bomb on China for good measure and take a good look at Iran.

                                                                  But, I am anti Bush and most of our government. Lies, hidden agenda and plain evil has permeated our government. It's so bad that we are just accepting it as the norm. That's not right. This Iraq thing was so unnecassary it's sickening. Now we are getting our asses kicked a little worse than we expected. We will still win but this unexpected competition is hurting our worldwide unstoppable superpower reputation. That pisses me off almost more than the fact that we are fighting in the first place.

                                                                  The media is just calling it how they see it. They are taking Dan Rather's lead and calling a spade a spade. I think it's good. The spin control that we were seeing the first 5 days is wearing thin so the truth has to come out.
                                                                  I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...
