Gold isn't really an "investment" per se, it's more of a speculative thing.

i have gold and silver both in coins also.
i even bought 2 sets of the platinum coins from the usmint.
1000's of onces in silver coins. some silver bars. a few hundred onces of silver in stock paper. i have maybe 30 onces of gold.
i have stacks of paper money silver certificates and such. i like the gold and silver better.
i see gold going as high as $3000 an ounce. in a few years.Comment

gold has a tendency to "fluxuate" but rest assured , it is accepted in most countries and is resitant to water/fire/bullets.
