    so many hosts - who to turn to?

    Whats Up Guys,

    I have an idea for a site, but looking around at different hosts and on posts here I'm trying to understand what are the differences between static and dynamic content.. i have some questions maybe some can help.. appreciate all replies.

    what would a top gallery page be static or dynamic?
    what about just gallery sites of collected images/videos?

    there are alot of hosts, i hear alot about staying away from mainstream.. is it because of policies with content?

    how about the guys specific in our industry.. isprime i hear good things about, ox, realitycheck and dreamhost..
    with all the options.. what the fuck is the difference?

    am i just thinkin about this too much.. woudl the best thing be just pick one and go?

    my goal is to have this site reach 5k hits a day within 90 days, probably very ambitious but thats me. i have these questions because i dont want to fail.

    if anyone goes through this and answers.. you're a genuine person.

      I think you're looking into it too much

      I would almost say start with dream host for $7/mo

      And then the sec you are making any revenue switch to any of the other hosts and you'll have a successful business.

          i would think static content is content that stays the same,
          and dynamic content is content that always changes

          stay away from mainstream , because a porn-specialized host will help you best with all the questions and all your porn site needs

                          Static content is that which never changes from when the actual file was created (i.e. a JPEG image, a HTML file etc.), whereas dynamic content is that which changes, based on variables (i.e. PHP scripts, ASP scripts, CGI scripts etc.)

                          As regards hosting, if you want cheap hosting, give DreamHost a try with the promocode "HELPME" to get up to $80 off any plan. Be careful though - you do get what you pay for, and if you are looking for absolutelty top-notch hosting, and can spare a bit more for it, give Tear2Hosting a try.

                              Thanks for the warm reception.. My plan is to have dynamic and static content with movie gallery posts and more.

                              It is fair to say that DreamHost comes off as one of the best to start with. $7 a month does hurt at all ;)
