I've lived all over Canada and have been to many other places in the world and have to say I love getting back home to Canada but then Im sure so does everyone else for everywhere else in the world...

Yeah sorta lol. I can see the Detroit skyline from my home. Only a one mile river seperates us. No one in their right mind would walk the streets of Detroit at night....a mile away in Canada, not only are they walking them..but a lot of them don't even bother locking their doors.

I'm not saying that Canada has as high a rate of violent crimes as the USA, even comparing Seattle and Vancouver. However, to think that Canadian cities are simply "safe" is absurd. Plenty of violent crime happens in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal etc. It's not like Canadian cities are some magical safe zone.

I lived in Toronto for almost 6 years and then I moved to Vancouver. Didn't like it much there, so ended up in Canmore, a small town right next to Banff. I travelled the entire country, been in all provinances and I must say that I truly love Canada. Living in British Columbia is the shit though, beautiful, safe and friendly.

I've looked into it, it's about a gazillion times easier to get a greencard into the US than it's to get permanent residence visa to Canada

Everythgin is overprices - especially when you are in Ontario - things are Dcheaper in quebec but then you have to oput up with the french laguage - which is just fucking impossible to learn.

The other thing that really shits me is the language police and how everythgin has to have french or you get a fine.. but go to any part of quebec ourside MTL city and there is NO english - so what the fuc is that about "sorry.... 9/10 iof canada which DONT speak french HAVE to have signs in french but hdere in quebec WE dont have to speak english" FUCK the french LOL.. seriosuly tho they are nice enough peopel i just hate the stupid fucign laws.

FUCK that for a summer vacation- Id rather be at the beach.. and DONT even get me started abotu the so called "beaches here". okay well i started - in canada they call a fuckign 3 feet wide piece of mud at the side of the lake "a beach" and in Quebec they charge you $5 per adult just to sit on it ... you cant swim in the water or you get vomiting and diarrhea for weeks (both my daughetr and I are still recovering from the ONE swim we had in the lake 3 weeks ago - last week i did a comelete FAST for 5 days to no avail)

heres another REALLY bullshit issue i have with canada - their immigration department:

if you're a visitor to Canada and you wish to extend your visa to stay a whiel longer - you extend it by applying online. To pay the fees - you are asked to pay with a creit card but HERE IS THE CATCH:
yo have to pay with A CANADIAN CREDIT CARD.....
now considering that asa VISITOR you CANNOT get even a BANK ACCOUTN with a canadian bank (because you ned a SS#) there is NO CHANCE in HELL you can get a CREDIT CARD. and they know this - it's a system to STOP peopel extending their stays in Canada and i for one, although am realy angry at the lack of commonsense from this idiot government, am actually happy that my visit to Canada is expiring YES!

I haven't seen ONE thign in the whole time ive been here (over 1 year) that would even make me CONSIDER to stay in this godforsaken place..

Manitoba is nice although cold and the cost of living is way lower than in the East.
Bc is very beautiful and great place to live, no where near as cold but has a higher cost of living.
Alberta is cool, and the other province, the one in between MB and Alberta is ok too, although I don't really know much about it, not even how to spell it ...lol
