It never hurts to make good with neighbors.. and ocassionally surrounding yourself with 'older people'.. One can learn lots from them..

It could even turn into a nice situation.. She'll see he's young and single and maybe start bringing him a hot meal now and then..

I had a neighbor like that when I was young.. she was like 70 and was always bringing me fresh sliced tomatoes and such.. She was lonely and needed to feel like she was looking after me I guess..

Anyway.. it's always best to be friendly with the neighbor folk..
