    Tim Tebow only got an 890 on his SAT!

    What the fuck is up with that?!?!

    Has offers from Florida, Michigan, Georgia, FSU, Miami, LSU, USC and many more and is yet to narrow things down. 3.5 GPA and 890 SAT.
    Dude must be Forrest Gump or something. I heard he was a rock but you get 600 fucking points for just showing up and writing your name correctly. To get 890 on your SAT is fucking sad and what's even more sad is that the University of Florida requires a 1,300 score before they'll even sniff your application if you're not an athlete.

    No pro team is going to touch this kid.

                      Let's see, three tests with a max score of 800 points on each test. That's 2,400 points. Each battery is worth 200-800 points so 200*3 = 600. You can't get anything lower than a 200 on each test so once again, you get spotted 600 points just for showing up and signing your name.

                      I'm smarter than Tebow. He may be more athletic, better looking, taller, more muscular, more religious, more everything but I am indeed a lot smarter than Tim Tebow.

                                  SAT consists of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section receives a score on the scale of 200?800.

                                                  He was home schooled, so I seriously doubt his SAT score has anything to do with his intelligence. Thanks to Bush and his "No child left behind" bullshit kids in school are only learning how to pass standardized tests anymore and their entire curriculum is based off this. I'd take his home schooled education and low SAT score any day...

                                                                                      I'm going to assume his SAT is based on the old system (1600 point scale). He took the test when he was 14 years old. That would put him in the 30th percentile. That's not good, but it's also not the borderline retarded level he would be on a 2400 point scale.

                                                                                      He was also home schooled so he wasn't grilled in test taking like most students are. Home schooled kids always do poorer in standardized tests. He also has a high GPA in college. Not saying the guys a rocket scientist or anything, but he can tie his own shoes.

                                                                                                  I don't really care how smart a person seems to be on paper. It's the persons skills that I care about. If it's work related or sports, it's all the same.

                                                                                                  The higher intelligent person has zero common since. They are always told the answers, read the answers, they never experience the answers. Thus they truly know nothing.

                                                                                                  Truly smart people often fail in one basic subject, like math, reading and writing. This lack of being able to grasp basic concepts is often made up in other areas. Like truly talent in sports, music, or anything work related - like running your own business.

                                                                                                  I almost failed high school, I only passed the math part of my grad exams. And if you can fail the SAT, I failed it. Reading crap from books on subjects I don't care about, then writing about them, and never really experiencing anything killed me.


                                                                                                  Now, today I have ran my own business for 12 years.. and I look back and just laugh at how stupid the school and state was about getting me to past a stupid ass test that means and meant nothing to my life.

                                                                                                                  What he got on the sat has nothing to do with what he will get from the pros. The pros have a test called the wonderlic that measures intelligence. A perfect score on the Wonderlic is 50. The average NFL QB gets around a 25. Vince Young got a 6, but still got a huge contract.

                                                                                                                  If he has a decent arm, can read defenses and can be a leader on the team he will have plenty of offers.

The SAT changed to the 3 test system AFTER Tim Tebow most likely took his. It was originally a 2 test system, 800 points each with a 1600 being a perfect score.

                                                                                                                                                  So in reality he did average at the time.

                                                                                                                                                  Hell I got a 980 on my 2 test SAT and got into my top 5 schools of choice with a strong GPA.

                                                                                                                                                                      That would have been the old 2 section version. The old SATs were much harder than the one they have been giving for the past 10 years. They dumbed it down to make today's kids feel a bit better about themselves.
