      Why wouldnt you do this like a lot more in advance of when most would have bought their tickets anywas. This is just yet another reason to hold off registering for an event and waiting it out.

                                                              This isn't exactly the same thing as the AVN/GFY discount though; people just have to be more pro-active.

                                                              All someone had to do is check who the sponsors are, then hit up their rep and ask if they have any promos, or badges for affiliates, etc...
