I was pretty brave when I made the decision and now that I am less than 24 hours away, I am wondering if I made the right decision.

If you can have it done that way I would definitely recommend it. I had a local for wrist surgery many years ago. I requested it. Much better than a general and you get out of recovery much faster. They put a sheet in front of me so I could not see anything and it was a little boring. I remember thinking that I wish I had a portable CD player and headphones to listen to music while the doctor and nurses worked. A local is also safer as well as cheaper than a general.
