We don't. They are way too smart to fall for that shit. We just get up at the crack of dawn, before they are awake. We are old and we can't stay awake as late as they do, so nighttime is out of the question. Early mornings are the only way.Comment

We just make sure he's occupied with one of his favorite cartoons (he's 5) since animation seems to keep him glued to the couch like typical kids. We then go in the room and close the door and tell him to knock if he wants to come in. All we have to say is we're going to lay down for a bit and he's cool with that. Not to mention since he is 5, he goes to bed no later than 9 so we have all the time in the world once he's asleep.Comment
