It's amazing that the world has become so dependent on fast travel and now you can drive to your destination faster than you can fly. Flying is risky, it always has been and always will. All of these precautions will do nothing but put airlines out of business. Even if you put people on the planes BUTT-ASS NAKED, they would bag chemicals and put them in their ass or swallow them the night before. This shit will never stop and only get worse. This is exactly what "terrorist" want - fear and confusion. They get off on fucking up daily life for the "normal" half of the world because they believe everyone should live in simplicity and not be concerned with personal gain or wealth. I'm flying Detroit to Tampa in 2 weeks and I'm ready to just cancel and drive, at least I can take my necessary stuff with me and not worry about the 1 hour drive to the airport, sitting in the airport for 3 hours, getting fondled and felt up for no reason, losing stuff I didn't know was banned, flying for 2 1/2 hours, sititng on the runway for a 1/2 hour, waiting a 1/2 hour for a rental car, and spending $15 on a bottle of liquid stress relief.

it's going to be more than a slight inconvenience, 5 hours to get through security checkpoints is more of an inconvenience than the not bringing your hair gel on board, only to be rechecked at the gate. i still agree i'd rather not be blown up over the atlantic, but then again, if that's how it's meant to be for me, so be it.
