I did actually.... been waiting more than six months for my custom script that was said to take three weeks. My members are tired of waiting.

why would you go custom when there are so many out of the box scripts that work very well already? unless you really need something specifically customized. show me your site so i can see what extra features your site has that the other out of the box scripts don't have.

No experience of the first two, but avoid http://www.datingpro.com/dating/demo.php it's run by the Pilot Group and I bought a script from them once and they never delivered it. They kept saying some shit about my order was flagged as suspect. Of course they wouldn't cancel the order either, so I had to get PayPal to refund the money.

Avoid them like the plague

Custom is definitely worth looking into. You can find cheap freelancers at rentacoder dot com who do this kind of thing. I do projects on there once in a while. I've also done a few different types of classified sites in the past and a personals site shouldn't take long if you find the right person.

I have a client who runs a TON of dating sites and they sell their script for $7500. It's enterprise level, not some cheap script. They can customize it however you want as well.

Looks great dailydiapers. You can customize it a lot more than that, if you wanted to. You don't have to be restricted to their nav look and sizes on all the images. If you want some examples, hit me up on icq.

They are both free - but they are still the best 2 around.
