What resistance that is being put up by Iraqi forces is light resistance and was to be expected. If sand storms do not slow the progress of the main advancing forces, we will have control of the country in a few more days. Do not confuse control with secure. The country of Iraq may not be secure for years to come, if ever.

The strategy being used is reminiscent of General MacArthur's strategy during the Pacific campaign in the Second World War. By pass Japanese strongholds and let them wither on the vine and take them out later. By the way General MacArthur lost fewer troops than any General during the Second World War.
Everybody here knows you are pro-war, but can you for once look at the facts and come up with your own opinion about anything? They have been saying that leaving enemies behind is something to worry about. There are many troops that hadn't even started towards Baghdad from Kuwait as of last night. Their path to Baghdad will see resistance instead of a clean trip. This will not be good if we get into a real fight in Baghdad. They also pointed out that the trucks to refuel our vehicles and bring supplies to the front of the war will be slowed due to this. It's also been pointed out that some of our vehicles could run completely out of fuel if there were any resistance slowing the convoy from getting to Baghdad in a hurry. I've seen it several times already.

The more I read your posts the more I think you don't even read the articles or watch TV. This may very well be no problem but it has the potential to be a huge fuck up.
