    thinkin bout tradin in my jeep today.. thinkin escalade, navigator or commander

    im like damn near 100k miles on my 02 limmited grand cherrokee. i fuckin love her. shes been a dream.

    but.. at 100k things become problematic.. engines and trannys start to drop.. all that jazz.

    its a cryin shame.. as again.. i love ole girl..

    moving right along.. outta the 3.. what would you pick and why?

                  the 5.7 hemi gets better mpg then that thing. ofcourse the 5.7 got a deal where it cuts off 4 cylinders at crusing speeds and just runs on 4. saves on gas like a champ.

                  i drive alot from myrtle beach sc to charlotte nc (300-400 miles atleast once every 2 weeks.. if not every week) so that kinda takes out the srt.

                                                                  B, I'd be leery of those shut down cylinders to save gas thing. Cadillac did that and they ate a lot of motors. Something about heat transfer not being equal in the engine block (working cyls hot shut down ones cold)...

                                                                          Hi...I do F & I for 11 car dealers...IMHO- Stay away from the commander, 1st year jeeps are a nightmare, plus its WAY overpriced....The Caddy is nice, but alot of money for just the name, its a smooth ride, better then most, but resale will be a problem. The nav is ok, but they are taking a beating on resale as well, its no longer "THE bling SUV" anymore, but they never adjusted the price. I would stick with the G. Cherokee, perhaps the SRT-8, that has to be the sickest SUV I have ever driven in my life. Gas will be a problem, but to be honest, if you have the $$$ to buy any of these trucks, whats 2-3 MPG difference going to hurt your wallet?
