I now dislike New Years - thanks to not being a drinker anymore....+ slow traffic

Now that i no longer drink (outside of the occasional glass of wine/flute of DoM/or 1 beer with dinner)New Years eve has become a real bummer.

All of my friends are out getting plastered right now & I can't stand being sober around people who are drunk....So i decided not to go.

So i stayed with a girlfriend tonight & I was going to work on the laptop.....well................................... ...

As of 7pm EST traffic have pretty much come to a standstill. I'm apparently one of the very few people actually online right now. It's 11p.m. & i guess everyone is 30 drinks in & waiting for the ball to drop. I wonder what time the drunks will come home & whip their dick out for the porno & dating sites?

So depressing....someone say something to cheer me up! Or give me a suggestion on what to do next year, since I don't drink, or care to be around my plastered friends.

I'm stone cold sober too. Me and my girl on dueling laptops in bed just takin it easy. I pray my drunk neighbors don't come knockin after midnight. I can't stand being around drunk people when I'm sober either.

The only excitement is to maybe do a movie... Bleh yeah new years is not what I imagined this year. We didn't even feel like going out to dinner or anything.

There's more to life than getting drunk my friend. Just because you can't get drunk doesn't mean you have to sulk and be upset. Do something (or someone) else.

In Maui they set off fireworks all night. It's fun. Maybe go toss a few molotov cocktails out into the street. Maybe bang pots and pans. Maybe pop in a good action flick, maybe shit.. I dunno.. count your millions.

There are more things to do than you realize.

I didn't drink tonight either. I think I've had maybe 3 beers in 2008 and maybe 3 drinks at Internext last January. Just too damn old to hang around drunk people and listen to them babble.
My house was broken into yesterday and lost a bunch of stuff so wouldn't have been in the mood even if I was drinking.

traffic was slow, sales were horrific for one day but I spent time with family so it was all good. Fucking fireworks kept the dogs barking all nite which sucked a little. Im loving the sales today though and it gives me a 2007 feel. ;)
