I'd say without a doubt the Padres. They are struggling now, but have LA's number this year. Comes down to this, and only this:

Young

Peavy

Williams

All 3 of these pitchers start throwing the way the SHOULD, and they win by about 5 games.

well it most likely will come down to the pitching. giants are struggling with their bullpen lately. i think schmidt and lowry are their only solid starters. la has penny and now maddox. should be an interesting race...

Yeah, I loved the moves LA made trade wise.... Maddux still has some gas left in the tank.

Giants pitching has to get better and fast if they want to make a run at it.
