    Facebook or MySpace: Which one is going to get you in more trouble?

    I opened a Facebook profile recently, just for a goof. Frankly, I think it may be more trouble than it's worth.

    You have girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, lovers, or potential lovers all stalking your page a lot more than you think they would....here's the big question:

                      Before the recent update on myspace I would've said facebook... but now they are both pretty equally intrusive...

                              You get more personal comments from other people that may be close to you on it.

                              That's fuel for a stalker's fire.

                              Myspace is full of comments from folks you may only kinda know so it's not as personal.
                              I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

                                      The only things that come up for me on google are my company, magazine articles I have been quoted in, Linked In, Naymz and I'm guessing Twitter will show up soon.

                                                                      Haven't used myspace for over a year and not planning to use any of those for any personal presentation ever.

                                                                      Apart from the belief it's a great source of data about a whole mass of users for certain government organizations, the real problem is the mere amount of weirdos that were contacting me - a producer of a non existing horror movie issuing daily press releases, a woman with pathologic obsession to frogs, a shitload of spam etc. Not worth the hassle.

                                                                      I want to help my buddy from childhood to promote their band, so that's when I plan to revisit these, I'll check for the internet freak of the year and post some examples.
