Amateur Wealth where is my money?

14 days ago detoxed asked me to design 4 gallery templates for Amateur Wealth, in 48 hours.

12 days ago I delivered the templates and gave him my epassporte id to get $100 payment.

I've been asking for the payment every other day since then, and he always said it was coming, but it never did.

I started a thread about it, I emailed the company about it, I did everything I could to get my $100 and keep this private.

I give up, I was really needing that money at the time, that's why I got back into design work.

I'm sorry it came to this, but everyone agreed I should expose you for this kind of behavior and I got tired of looking at my epassporte every day waiting for $100. At least now I can talk about it while I wait for you to pay me.

I dont know what's going on there, but I think it's not detoxed's fault. However he was the one dealing with me, and he had more than enough time to fix whatever is broken with their accounting.

The best part is one of my templates is already being offered to webmasters inside Amateur Wealth.

Ok, now that I've said it, pay me, please.

What I usually do is 100% upfront if they trust me, or I show them screenshots and when it's done I get my payment before sending the files.

But since I was getting back into doing designs, had no real portfolio to show, I was flexible. I also trusted a company more than I would trust an individual.

I think the reason I didnt asked for the money first was because I really needed some fast $$$ and I was too busy trying to get more work, to worry about getting screwed like this

Lesson learned, I guess.

Tuga...this has nothing to do with Detoxed...this mishap fell squarely on accounting...they are not around on weekends...but i am now informed of the situation and i will get it handled for you today...

It will be their TOP priority and hopefully never happens again....

Seems it is just some email mixups....

I said it before and I said it again here, I dont think this was detoxed's fault, BUT he was the one in contact with me, he was the one saying it would come and never did. I dont know what goes on inside your company and I dont want to know, I just dont want to be told payment is coming every time I ask for it, and never getting it. Feels like I'm begging for money, when I worked for it.

"they are not around on weekends."

I heard that excuse last week too.

I'm not happy that starting a thread on GFY pointing fingers is the best way to get my money, but I guess it worked. I wont bitch anymore, I just want to get paid and move on.

As i said in my previous post....accounting made the error and thought you had been paid...Detoxed was diligent in helping us to determine the mishap and get it corrected....

He was told by accounting it was either sent or getting sent..because they had you mixed up with another designer....so as i said before it goes back to them... cant kill the messenger...simple miscommunication

you will see it today as i have made it the TOP priority for accounting...believe me...i am not trying to screw you out of $100

It may not be the best way, but it is often the last resort, especially when one has gotten the run around for so long. I've seen guys posting that they've been waiting 3 months or more, some even years, waiting for payment. (from other people and companies)

The more threads like this you see posted, the harder it becomes for people in this business to trust one another.

You freelance designers really need to start taking screenshots of your finished work, slapping giant watermark on them, and sending THOSE as samples of finished work to the buyer instead of just sending all your finished work, Then once payment is made and the money is in your account, you release the files.

I never said this was about stealing me $100, I want to make that clear.

I know from the start it's just about someone not caring enough about a small designer asking for his small payment to make it a top priority. And I know if kept asking for it on ICQ, I would get it one day.

For the record, one of my designers did some galleries for Detoxed/AmateurWealth and we was paid promptly so I am sure it was just some confusion.

Now think about it, detoxed did is best to get this sent for the last 2 weeks, we talked about it almost every day, and nothing happened. So in your operation, communication is like this:
Freelancer -> Rep.
Rep. -> Accounting
Accounting -> no action? no feedback?

Why was he not told something like "It appears you have already been paid" ?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to sling dirt on you, I just want to know how your business run before we start sending more traffic. We are not big, and you probably wont see more than 30-50 sales a month from us, but if this is how your company works, I don't think we will risk it.

So if I'm talking over ICQ, I ask for $100 and they say, ok it's taken care of, and it never gets here, why should it be any different on the phone?
The only difference is I would pay a nice chunk of those $100 to make that call.

Thanks for not answering my serious and genuine question. I'm not interested in getting prepaid for sign-ups. All I want is like the rest of us, and honest program that pays on time for the revshare memberships we generate.

I'm not saying this to sling dirt at anyone, we just don't want to deal with anyone that don't invest the needed resources into the areas that deal with the webmasters who spend a lot of time and money promoting your sites
