Who is the best video and photo content provider and why?

I think there is no such thing like the best content provider - from own experience the best content you will get from own in da house production

Exactly right. The question is much too vague.

When you get into certain niches, and micro niches. Certain studios or mom and pops are the best for providing the content. They know the niche in and out, and exactly what the customer wants. From the models, camera angles, and point of focus and 'money shots' for the lack of better term.

That said, they may not be shooting in HD. They may not have the best lighting, or the higher end Euro models you associate with online porn. However, they will be much more bankable, and if I were looking for content. I would spend it on them. Not the higher end.

However, I have talked with many companies over the years on licensing. Most are looking for that perfect lighting, girls, and are not so much nichey. Fine. Whatever works for you.

In that regard, if you are looking for a true profesional, for a high end, quality production. Jimmy Gunn is who you are looking for.

Well, I agree that small independent studios rocks in micro niches.

Again true. But then why am I asked to shoot niches, I'm clearly clueless about, by big sponsors who are also clueless about them?

The day the camera decided on the quality of porn has yet to arrive. HD needs good lighting, not just more. It needs models who are not covered in zits and it will never make a bored model doing her 5th scene of the day and 15th of the week look good. In fact it will make her look worse. HD just gives a clearer image if the lighting is right. If it's wrong it's worse.

I will bet I have talked to more and my impression is most are looking for a price. Anyone buying exclusive and not going nichey or giving it a unique twist is wasting their money. The "exclusive" argument died years ago. Members don't have the time or attention span to saturate content. Many sites are full of exclusive filler content.

Sorry but the sample on the front of his site says something else. There are far better guys than Jim if that's his best scene. I might be wrong and he might have a poor scene up as a sample.

As for the question is depends what you want. Do you want Twistys or ATK type content, or a niche like Up Skirt Petticoat or a niche like cute teens? Do you want to buy 5 sets and videos of a girl masturbating for $1500 or one scene of her fucking herself so far into oblivion, she has to go home afterwards in a taxi?

Do you want a scene that has a theme to it, with a reason the girl and guy are on the sofa having real sex shot so you clearly see the girls pleasure, her face, her body and the viewer can share in her orgasm. And not shot with an average looking guy that's not putting out meaningless cliched phrases nor in shot most of the time. And a movie that is not 50% gynecological? And a girl who is in 100 other "exclusive" movies doing the same thing?

This is what I've found from selling content for a bit longer than most. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

For top end stills work I would put Michael Ancher at the top, shoots a pretty good video in the softer classier style. For quality Hardcore video Tim Turner (Timi Photo) is very good. And yes he shoots HD and can light properly. Neither are cheap and if you need the price before the content, forget them.

As a buyer who likes non exclusive content I find few that consistently have good content in my niche and style. Photorama have some good image content, the videos are not bad but got enough DVD content and members don't like it much. I will start shooting more myself, in the New Year.

we are not glamerous enough to compete with Dean, not amateur enough to look like homemade. we dont cover enough niches for the fetish crowd but for what we do i think we are not that bad ;)

I think that every niche has it's good shooters. Some niches actually depend on shooters that have no clue what so ever!!!! True amateurs and still they make some money. Beauty is truely in the eye of the beholder......

The only gauge I have to tell whether the stuff I shoot is good is this. The scenes I shoot for my clients are usually in the top spots in the tours which means the stuff converts well.
I shoot for some of the big boys including ADULT.COM/Playboy and I have been doing it for years so I must be doing something right.

If it converts 'em it's good!!!

Tough question. What content works and is the 'best' is in the eye of the beholder and it all depends on what you want to use the content for.

One thing to look for when searching good content is studios that have photographers who actually know the niche they shoot. If they do, quality and lightning is less important.
