The Doves and The Hawks
*sigh*
Am I the only cynic on this board? It seems everyone has chosen their sides, whether it be pro-war or pro-peace.
FACT: Saddam Hussein is a brutal dictator who seized power in a bloody coup. He has reigned over Iraq for 34 years as a king. Suspected dissenters are summarily executed. The average Iraqi citizen lives in fear of him and his Special Police. He has committed genocide on his own people, using chemical and biological weapons such as mustard gas and cyanide on innocent villages full of women and children. All that you need to know about the man is that his role model is Josef Stalin.
FACT: George W. Bush won the Republican Party nomination in 2000 in one of the worst cases of nepotism in the history of civilization. He won the Presidential election by default after the Democratic Party had nominated the biggest stiff they could find. He is addle-minded and an admitted drug user. Anyone who has observed him over the last three years must realize that he is nothing more than a figurehead. The presidency is controlled by the cabinet, the Republican Party and their constituents...including Big Oil.
FACT: Saddam Hussein aids and abets those who committed the 9/11 atrocity along with numerous other terrorist acts against Americans, Israelis and nations who sympathize with them. Anyone who claims otherwise is either naive or willfully ignorant.
FACT: George W. Bush has not started this war for any noble reasons. This is unfinished business from a decade ago, and those who control the Bush administration have only been waiting to get back to the White House to get this started. It's not entirely about Oil...but it is more about the American Economy and the solidification American Global influence than it is about "Liberating the Iraqi People".
FACT: Soldiers on both sides will die. Iraqi civilians will die. Members of the media will die.
FACT: Americans civilians will die collaterally. New Terrorist attacks on American targets by Islamic extremists are assured.
FACT: My wife is extremely hot.
That's all I've got.
