    Flash Host - Contact Info. anyone

    Flash Host has been down for over an hour now. I had a couple numbers of tech guys but they aren't answering and the whole website is down so I can't retrieve the main support line.

    Does anyone have any phone numbers for them...????

          Were you able to connect to the site or did you have the info. saved somewhere.

          They are having some major issues and for anyone hosted there, they expect to have it fixed within the hour.

                          what I'm looking for in a new host - none of which is available at flashhost/hostcentric:

                          1) 24/7 telephone tech support

                          2) tech support that knows something - not just message takers for unknown and unnamed sys admins who are far too important to talk to the mere clients who pay their wages

                          3) reliable uptime

                          4) compensation for downtime

                          5) a sales rep who knows how web pages work and who can answer basic questions

                          any suggestions?

                                      Sadly I have never had one positive experience with flash host. In the 6 months I've had a dedicated server there they still have not been able to properly setup my stats or email and their supposed 24 hour support person has no access to servers. How exactly someone with no server access is supposed to help issues is beyond me.
                                      The fact that they won't respond to clients concerns today is beyond unbelievable.
                                      Sorry that my first post to this board had to be so damn negative. But F@CK! This is my business damn it!

                                          Well, this is getting a little ridiculous now.... I've only been with flashhost for about 6 months and made a huge stink when I signed up about support. I use a lot of bandwidth every month and insisted on good support and they went out of there way to make me happy..... and then I signed up, and the support went out the window.

                                          As Kenny Rodgers says... "Ya gotta know when to walk away, and know when to run!"

                                          It's too bad Kenny doesn't know anything about hosting cuz now I gotta go out and find a new one on my own.

                                                          I called flyingcroc a while back and didn't switch because the sweet southern bell sales rep couldn't answer a single question about my tech needs. She kept telling me "don't worry just sign the contact and fax it back then we'll get with tech and work out your questions". That didn't give me confidence, although I know now they couldn't have been much worse.

                                                          I've lost about 100K visitors to three sites (so far and counting) and who knows how many galleries won't list me after this.

                                                          If ISPRIME just sounds like they know what they're talking about I'll use your ID and switch.

                                                                          Hell yeah Juicy... 10 hours and counting and the news from a VERY reliable source is not good to say the least. Anyone hosting there will definitley want to start searching out new hosting opportunities

                                                                              We moved all our stuff from Flash this past summer, after their previous 2 week meltdown. Yes, 2 fucking weeks of up again down again. They have a really poor infrastructure and as far as I can tell, ONE DNS server for ALL their boxes. Their secondary hasn't worked properly in months.

                                                                              Anyway, cyberwurx has been really good to us. They have some competent techs, 24/7 phone support (they'll page a tech if you say it's an emergency and you WILL get a call back). They provide compensation for downtime too...and stick to it.

                                                                              I'm just a satisfied customer.

                                                                                          There "adult" side was pretty hush hush over there.

                                                                                          I hosted with them also earlier on but I had some probs where I alomost did drive the 5 min to yell at em.......

                                                                                              Flashhost is the biggest joke in hosting, and hosting with them will literally KILL your adult business.

                                                                                              I had friends who started out with them and ALL of them have pulled their hair out trying to fix shit or get anything done.

                                                                                              To be honest, I think them having any kind of tech support is just a rumor. The only reason i know this is cause my buddy was in tears after trying to get a script install for almost two weeks.

                                                                                              I finally called and got through to their "$5-an-hour-employee" (otherwise known as their tech support) who didn't know his head from his ass and just took a message.

                                                                                              Finally after helping him get his business online, the next issue was keeping him live with flashhost. His shit was down all the fucking time.

                                                                                              I finally felt so damn bad for him, I told him to pull his shit and i gave him space on my servers. I've done this for a few friends who were in the same situation with Flashhost, till they got situated and got their own reliable hosting.

                                                                                              What a joke they are.
