Vista sucks... I refuse to use Vista. I had to use one of Lensman's vista machines to do something and I wanted to poke my eye out with a dull stick. In the 3 brutal hours I was forced to use a vista machine... it crashed 6 times, locked up about 8 times and had to reboot I don't know how many times. If you know Lensman, he doesn't buy crap so the machine could handle whatever I was doing.

I was just testing linux fedora,it works as charm,totaly stable and much faster then windows xp.I almost switched but one windows application didnt showed in taskbar so i had to return to windows xp.But all other windows apps worked good like roboform,internet explorer,visual basic etc...Comment

Apple makes some damn good machines, no doubt. But I think Windows gets a bad rap. I've never had a Windows machine that didn't run flawlessly when set up correctly.
But like I said, Apple machines are super high quality.
But don't forget, there are literally millions of hardware combinations and tens of thousands of peripherals available for the PC and Windows has to work with all of them. Apple's luster would wear off pretty quick if they had to deal with that.
Personally though, I could never get use to the file system on a Mac, I could never find my files. On a PC I'm a giant mess but it's MY mess and I know where everything is. I can't seem to duplicate that on Mac.jim (at) amateursconvert . com Amateurs ConvertComment

lol Hint same guy that worked for Adobe on Premiere was same guy that developed final cut. They are VERY similar programs. I could probably sit down at final cut and not hardly miss a beat if they made it for Windows.Comment

Macs are great for sure but why pay twice as much for the same hardware just to go to a Mac?
There are way more small utility type programs out for PCs as well that come in very useful quite often.
Vista blows by the way I still use XP and it runs perfectly.
