but wait, there's more to it: I asked not once but TWICE a very simple question: "does your site use a MySQL database? If so, send me the user/pass" . You never got to me until a couple weeks later bitching (side note: not 1 month, not 2 months, not a year: a couple weeks and ON YOUR SIDE). I asked you AGAIN for that info and you told me that you'd give your design to Zuzana and you wanted your money back. So I explained to you that the deposit was non refundable, that I worked my ass on it with your changes and stuff and to make it worse, if you EVER sent me the info I requested I'd finish it in the same day and get the remaining money for an ALMOST FINISHED SITE. At that time, I was really ill (AS YOU KNEW) and you cried and cried so much that I told you I'd give you half of that (which you didn't deserve, but I really couldn't afford to hear people crying). 5 minutes later someone told me you were berserk posting in my threads calling me a scammer. So... let me see... you tried to ruin my business and reputation and you wanted to get paid for that? Are you serious?

Let's recap, step by step:
1) Design done
2) Info requested (not sent)
3) Info requested again (not sent and you bailed)
4) Me losing $250 for something that would take a couple hours of work
5) you crying. I tell you I'd give you half of that even when it wasn't appropriate
6) you calling me names
7) End of story. I lost $250 and I won't pay you another 250 on top of that.

How curious. I lose the money and I'm the "scammer". Sorry bwana, this little worker boy works for money. Work was done and not finished because of YOU. This situation happened to me twice. Both times for lack of info or work on the client's side. Both times I was the one losing, however, in the other situation the other part finally realized he was being fucked by someone else. Either way I lost my time and money. First of all, I don't know all the facts. This being said, I'm sorryorry, but I find hard to believe Harvey scammed you, there are hundreds of people in this biz that worked with him, including myself, and I can't see why he would avoid working a few hours to get the complete payment, as he said.

The only reson I hired this guy was because he bragged he worked with all these people anyways.

Based on what I see, I would have to agree.

Designers dont ALWAYS design their best...

Perhaps their designs are based on the budget of the design...

I mean seriously people...

on the design part, as you may imagine, this was done based on specific request. I told him it would look too overcrowded, but that's what he wanted. I made not 1, but 4 versions, and each one twice (black background/ white background) because he didn't know what he wanted other than black or white bg, which also means all elements have to be changed depending on black or white bg.

Then (this is what I forgot and checking mails I found it) he came with the real thing after this: after we agreed what would be the final version, he told me he wanted yet another one because in fact he was going to resell one design, hence why he posted (and now I see he deleted, lol) a version where the name was "Escort Directory Script" and the final version is "Hot Zone Escort". So, no problem with this, he wanted both logos/headers (which I did) and then got "disapointed" because I din't do a whole different design he could resell on top of what was agreed (for the same price). I told him I'd do the integration for 1 (one) design and that's it.

One day later I asked this (quoting the mail):

As you may see, it says IF SO, hence if I didn't need it he could just answer "no" and that's it. It's a lie he told me anything about any MySQL thing, he simply never answered the MINIMUM INFORMATION to install a script. Now that I check old mails and see he wanted to resell, it seems to me his client didn't provide him with the info or he didn't have any clue.

As Alan said: why the fuck would I want his whooping 14 entries database? (there were even less at that point, something like 6 or 7). Assuming I'd want something like that (WHY?) I could go to any escort site and download the whole site in 5 minutes. The final point on this is he didn't gave me any info to continue working and then I simply let it go, thinking he'd be busy or whatever. Then a couple weeks later he shown his real colors and here we are.

And yes buddy, I disappeared from GFY (and any other board) for several months, it was a whole conspiration that included 3 surgeries and chemotherapy and further treatment as many people here knows. I mean, the whole GFY was into this conspiracy which I organized to avoid getting my final payment. I'm weird and crazy and GFY followed me on that. Or... instead of getting into drama I preferred to let it go since my health worths more than the $250 you owe me.

And I never bragged about anything. My portfolio is at sight (plus many many many samples I show in private, as you saw) and you can see that, never mentioned those companies to you, you can see the work there, it's called an objective fact.

OK, enough fake drama, I'm back to work for real clients

1.Your 4 versions are of the same design....WHO CARES about your design....the work wasn't to skin it it was to rearrange the whole css and skin it.....there is NO WAY you could have done it in a couple of hours....it's just not going to happen. I wanted the work done even with the design...not once did I say it was crap or anything. I asked if you could make a nicer one like in your port and you sent me the same design back...with a BLACK background! I said OK. I did ask you to change your header.....your header consists of some text......you are trying to say the delay was because of this change? It doesn't make sense! I asked you to make a nicer header and had to even make a header for you to show you.

2. Minimum information is I give you the script you upload it to your ftp and edit the templates. I gave you the FTP This is exactly what I did with Zuzana and Mike Flash.
What part did you not understand? You wanted the whole working script on your server....it wasn't going to happen. NOT ONE TIME did you say it was a problem

Anyway I'm a resonable person and posted this topic asking where you were...you didn't send me any emails or ICQ or anything. MY 2 "MAJOR" changes for you was you wanted to put IMAGES as TEXT for the nav bar I just wanted TEXT and a nice header......I might have asked you to include one more button and make it wider......this I don't even think is a crazy idea for any designer who has experience. These changes don't seem over the top to me.
If I knew that you thought using image buttons instead of text for a nav bar was a good idea I wouldn't have hired you in the first place
