it's not my BS dude - i said i had been told by more than one person in that scene that that was a theory to explain the rising numbers for STD's - you can prove it or disprove if you want - i just reported what some people are saying.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly! -

if the girls go to LA, hookup with an agent, they can make a living for a few years - a lot of them diversify and get into websites, dancing, and escorting...
lol, but its not something I would reccomend or advocate at high school career day!If you want to add gay sites to your program, or need help navigating the gay market please contact me at:

This is an interesting thread. But, I have a question for you all... What about paysite owners like me? Clearly I could make or break it, But with the correct advice, and the ability to "drive" all my marketing myself, what do you think my odds are? Think a 5-7 year run is possible?
As for the STD thing, Grant and I were and still are swingers. So, we treat our porn shoots just the same as we did the swinging. We judge the person/couple on their personality as well, and most times with that you can get a feel if they are a risk or not. If they sound wild, or have some crazy stories.. we tend to shy away. But, we also only shoot with protection. Not that its 100%, but we are not comfortable without it.
And, why not a pic for you do judge my potential

First of all, NICE PIC!!
I think u can easily do 7 years but while u have it... shoot, shoot, shoot as much as you can so you build up a nice backup list for when you do decide to stop you have have content backed up for the next few years if you do it right. I'd put videos away for rainy days so the members still have new things to look at even after you stop shooting.Affordable video and picture editing.

You can do much more than 7 years, if you want to. Start as a "swinger teen", become a "swinger babe" after a few years, then a "swinger milf", and eventually a "mature swinger". There, you now have several decades of money in porn in front of you. Couple that with building up a network of other paysites around your own, and you could work in this industry forever. Well, until you die, anyway.Originally posted by Brooke AndersonThis is an interesting thread. But, I have a question for you all... What about paysite owners like me? not all of us roc.Originally posted by RochardMy gosh, what a horrible opinion we have of women in this industry.
those girls are no different or have less character or esteem than those of us that push the materials that they produce. we're all in this for the money. everyone is someones whore if you really step back and look at yourself from the right perspective. we all answer to someone, everyone.
girls who do porn are simply exercising their right to make money with their bodies. good for them. people who talk down about models should themselves have their character checked.
without those girls, many of these yayhoos would be flipping burgers themselves, so they should find the respect somewhere that these girls deserve for making porn for them to make money off of.

That was my plan, to use my swinging nitch as long as needed. But, why is it a mistake to join with 4RealCash We met Anna and Bruce at a swinger party actually, and they introduced us to the industry. I think it is great for member retention having a group members area, and a strong affiliate program can only put money in both your pocket and mine.
So, moral of the story, what should I do differently now Libertine?Comment

The condom thing is generally based upon what a models comfort level is I know of some LA girls that are strictly "condom only". It is there right as performers to request these types of shoots. The downside to that is that many companies do not shoot condom oriented types of content and for those LA girls unless there just doing it as a side job they will not be able to "bank" as well as the majority of the girls unless they have certain special assets in their favor. I also find it funny that some of the condom only vaginal girls will allow oral condom free. But by looking over the AIM website it makes you at risk for all of the diseases that you were trying to prevent in the first place especially in regards to the facial types of scenes.Originally posted by Brooke AndersonAs for the STD thing, Grant and I were and still are swingers. I really do think girls who run amateur sites are a completely different animal from girls who only shoot for producers. There is far more control over your image, your scenes, etc. when you are shooting for YOUR site.Need Hosting? Reality Check Network services me purrrfectly!

To start off, since you're already in this situation, the best thing is probably to stick with it.Originally posted by Brooke AndersonThat was my plan, to use my swinging nitch as long as needed. However, apart from that, joining another, existing affiliate program is often a large mistake.
For starters, in your case, your domain seems to be owned by 4realcash. That means that if a serious business dispute arises, you're likely to lose your domain, and possibly more (for example, depending on your contracts and the structure of the affiliate program, you could lose all your members as well).
Now, I'm sure Anna and Bruce are great people, just like you and your husband, but even among the best of people, business disputes sometimes arise. (if you don't believe me, stick around on GFY for a few years, and you'll see) In other words, you're taking a rather large risk by participating in their program.
Then, there is the case of building up a network of webmasters, which is essential if you want to expand in the future. By participating in an affiliate program, you are in effect giving that affiliate program the affiliate database you would have had otherwise. So if you decide, in the future, to start up your own affiliate program, you have very little to work with. Unless 4realcash are extremely kind, you would start without an affiliate database, giving you a much lower chance of success, as well as much higher start-up costs.
There are other things I could mention, but the main point is this: by joining an existing affiliate program, you may make more money more quickly, but in the long run, it prevents you from building up your business any further, and carries a large risk./(bb|[^b]{2})/Comment

Personally, I believe that if you are in this for the long run, creating your own affiliate program is almost always the better option. Especially if you have plans to expand beyond just managing your own site.Originally posted by Lance69I'd like to hear the answer myself. That is a good response, and all in all, I can see your point about the cash program. As for our domain, and members, all taken care of in our contract.
But, I think that the way we started was the best for us. As we would never have been able to build up from square 1 and create what we have now. We just didn't have the means to make it happen. Or, I should say means to make it happen so quickly.
I understand that we will always be sharing our profits with 4Real, but it is a more then fair figure that I think is in my favor. Just to have the backup, and knowledge available to me is worth a sharing of my profits. Even if it leads to a large amount of money later, I wouldn't have had any without their help.
So, its what I have now, and I hope to do what you said, and milk the swinger market for many years. Look for me to be around more and more often

I read that Amy Reid's rate was 2x the regular rate, hers was around 2k a scene. If a hot girl can make 25k a month, she must have been doing over 30k a month for sure. She's out of the business now though.
I heard that one of the busiest agencies that can make girls the most money is Ladirect.Comment

LA Direct apparently gets girls tons of work - new ones can do 5-12 scenes per week - but if they flake more than once, they are gone
I've also heard that Derek aka Ben English who owns LA Direct will pay $500 for reffering girls to him (once they complete a few scenes)
so if you know a chick that wants to get in the biz, you can always make some $$$If you want to add gay sites to your program, or need help navigating the gay market please contact me at:

This is where being smart comes into play. I'm not judging you; I don't know anything about you so please don't be offended by what I'm about to say here.Originally posted by Brooke AndersonThis is an interesting thread. And, why not a pic for you do judge my potential
Are you really a paysite owner?
If I understand correctly, you are a model, you have a website, and you may in fact own the domain and everything else. But you don't own the affiliate program. If this is the case then you are doing 10% of work.
Do you spend your free time wondering about your retention and trying to come up with ideas to increase your retention? Do you spend entire days of your time trying to configure new ideas in your affiliate software? Have you created a picture of the day feature, a blog, RSS feeds, and a TGP? On your own? If you haven't you haven't seen the bigger picture yet and your not going to do well in the industry; You'll be here today and gone in a few years.
My point is there is a diffrence between being a site owner / operator and running your own business.
As for your staying power, well, if treat your body right you can do this for a very, very long time. I'm not sure if any of you have heard of Wife's World, but I'm guessing she's in her early forties and her site is still pulling in bank. Just because you aren't young any more doesn't mean you can't have a site or can't keep going; You can go as long as you have paying members.Herschel Savage

A cute girl starting out thats good enough for a solo site, should go that route. Sure the same girl doing shoots can make 250K in the 1st year (probably only year) then she'll be over exposed , burnt out and probably on drugs. After a year of 300 shoots with 300 different people. Or join an established Program get a percentage and do little more than shoot content. Not everyone can run their own Affiliate program that would burn alot of them out as well.Comment
