When was your last real "vacation?"

I haven't had a real "vacation" since early 1999.... that is, like a week or more just traveling for pleasure or hanging out doing nothing. Nutty isn't it?

(although to be fair, in Miami, any weekend on the water is like a mini vacation)

Haven't had one yet. Every trip I take is full of events. My idea of a vacation is a week in Bora Bora and Tahiti with no cell phone and nobody with me. Just spend a week relaxing on the pristine beach without a care in the world.

Just got back from Maui

In the past year I've been to Vegas a few times, DC, Seattle, Alaska, Destin and Panama City. I love vacations

Last vacation hubby and I had was three years ago. We went on a 4 day cruise to Mexico. Other than that, can't say we have had one since. Everything is always work related. Even when I took hubby to New Zealand and Australia he worked almost every day.

Oh the joys of being self employed. hehehe
Thats why I enjoy going to shows because at least we get away for a few days.

I can't remember the last time I took a vacation. Every time I go any place business some business is done. I have family in SOCAL, and every time I'm down there I end up meeting with industry folks.

YP Mexico comes close to a vacation, but it's still business no matter how drunk I get.

I feel gluttonous after reading how little vacation time most are taking.

I just went on a 15 day kayak trip in June, and in a month I am going on a 28 day cruise from Alaska across the Bering Sea to Russia and then several stops in China, Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan and ending in Osaka. I then am planning on backpacking for about 3 more months in southern China, Burma and India.
