WWIII started in 2001'.....people just didn't realize until recently. China has just as large of an interest in the middle east as we do.

Although I'm not 100% convinced, China has a massive population and could very well rival America as a world super power in the next 50 - 100 years so their thirst for oil is growing by the day.

I would have thought that financially it would make a lot of sense for them, if they where to pour vast amounts of money into inventing new forms of energy to replace oil as their main energy source, if they could potentially invent an alterate fuel then they wouldn't have to enter conflicts to fight for the remaining oil in the middle east.

??? you'll be very lucky if the US can rival China 50 years from now, lets see - China 10% sustainable economic growth, the US president's name 50 years from now will be George Lopez or something similar

just a repeat of everything that was said...yes they do rival america as world power...but to take over would be a difficult thing wiht all the political influence america has...whether it be positive or negative is still very well rooted and to start another war in any sense to change that it would only cause chaos and no power would rise actually one would rise but it wouldnt have much of a world to govern it would be like when the huns interrupted the roman empire...we came up with the dark ages

now the bunker idea not bad but think about it....nucleear war so bunker or no bunker we all still gonna be poisened so why waste da time and effort...why not just avoid nuclear war in the first place just an opiinon stilll

China have a lot of problems to overcome before they can achieve superpower status in the future, Their pollution and the social divide between the rich and poor are 2 massive issues they need to overcome.

Your right though, its more like 50 years than 100. America should still be a superpower as long as oil keeps a pumpin and all oil transactions are made in dollars.

thanks ive been on this board before when i first wanted to learn a bit about what i was getting myself into...very well informed people and you do it in a down to earth way that as much of a novice as i was it made it easy to understand...actually i have about five boards i check on a regular this would be one of them...i was just afraid to post because i didnt understand the environment then i came across this thread lol cant seem to keep my mouth shut when it comes to pollitics...hopefully i get to know some people...always trying to network but

We have better bunkers than anyone in the world. We have an emergency government in place underground 24 hours a day that includes someone in the line of succession for the Presidency.

They just don't tell the public about them very often because we're not getting in. I think the Denver airport is one of the largest and newest ones.

If you want to see something scary, check who owns 80% of the right to the oilfields in Africa. Oilfields not in use yet, but in capacity is set to be more then 130% of what is in Saudi Arabia. China being friends with rusia who controls 80% of the natural gass sold to Europe. If they want to support themself, they can. If they want to fuck us over, they can. But they dont, because we are the best customer - rich, dumb and lazy. We are building them a mountain of cash.
