Perhaps the manager could have tried to reassign this person, if it was even possible, but expecting the manager to do so is a little out of line. A job is a job, if it goes against your religion or your personal beliefs, you need to walk away and find work elsewhere.

Can you imagine a pro-life activist suing an abortion clinic after being their secretary for a year? That's what the job is... you either do it or you don't...
