    Jews killed Jesus?

I dont follow Religion or Theology that much [read: at all]. But lately i have been reading and hearing a lot of people say that the Jewish people killed Jesus.

Now is there something new that was discovered, because i remember my history pretty well and as far as i am concered some Roman Governer who was Orthadox Chrisitain, was the one who sentenced Jesus to crucifixion. So didnt the Christians kill Jesus?

Or was some new part of history uncovered that i missed.

You just suggested that an Orthodox Christian killed Jesus... you really can't figure out the fundamental flaw in your argument? Think real hard.

Go back to ranting about how Israel is always right... at least other morons will back you up there.

One day Jesus was in the ring boxing with Mohammed for the Grand Prophet Championship and was holding his own even though Mohammed had at least fifty pounds on him. About halfway through the fight though, Jesus lost his footing and he fell down, slamming his neck on a chair that had be displaced earlier. This paralyzed him from the neck down permanently. Rather than live the rest of his life bed ridden, Jesus begged for God, our father who art in Heaven, to take his life. God granted his request? it was a really touching story. They eventually made a movie about it called the Million Dollar Savior.

The governor (Pontius Pilate) wasnt Christian, he was a Roman (therefore monoteistic)

Jews pushed Pontius Pilate into killing jesus.

Just in case your post is serious (which I honestly hope it isn't):

According to the bible, Jesus was arrested by the romans, tried by jew elders and turned over to the roman prefect. The prefect did not believe Jesus to be guilty of any crime, and gave a jewish crowd the choice whether Jesus or a convicted murderer should be set free, believing they would choose Jesus. The crowd, however, spurred on by the jewish elders, chose to set the murderer free, Pilate (the prefect) washed his hands, then had Jesus crucified.

The bible, though, is probably false. Recent studies suggest that Jesus was in fact a jewish rebel against the romans, and was crucified (the standard punishment for rebels) for that. Paul, a roman himself, wanting to spread christianity to the roman empire, probably changed the story, making the jews rather than the romans the guilty party. (and thus making christianity more acceptable to romans)

Christians killing Jesus Christ(!) however, is a clear absurdity. There was no christianity before Jesus, and it only spread to the romans much, much later.

Yes, I lean towards a similar theory myself however I do have a problem with the notion of J.C's death being caused by crucifiction. More plausable in my opinion is the theory that J.C died in a battle with the Roman gaurd.

But are we not putting too much faith in the notion that that J.C alone "invented" Christianity ?. Many of the principals and philosophies of Christianity are to be found in the teachings of earlier Gnostic groups.

The ROMANS killed jesus, so therefore it is really the Italians that Christians should be pissed off at.

If you only knew how/when/who pieced the bible together and all the shit that was censored from it you wouldnt have much faith left in it. You did make some valid counter arguments but I just have one thing to say about it all, The Roman Empire and the Political Climate of the time Corrupted everything we know religion to be today, including what most christians think they know and how they practice it....

I do know how the bible evolved, and I have absolutely no faith whatsoever in it... which kinda comes with not believing in supernatural beings.

I agree with you that Rome, among other things, strongly influenced the bible. However, I can not agree with the term "corruption" of the bible. All contemporary religions evolved through long processes in which they were constantly adapted to suit political needs of the time, included beliefs from other religions and traditions, or were just interpreted in a certain way over another, possibly equally (in)valid way.

Religion, like tradition in general, is both a part and a product of culture. There is no real truth hiding behind it somewhere, it is just a collection of superstitions, folklore and culturally determined morality.

He died on the cross, was buried, and resurrected after three days. Romans considered him a powerful political figure at that time, so that's the reason why they had him crucified. SOME jews, on the other hand, do not believe that a boy whose father is a simple carpenter would proclaim himself as the messiah and could save the world from sins..

More plausable in my opinion is the theory that J.C died in a battle with the Roman gaurd.

Christians killing Jesus Christ(!) however, is a clear absurdity. There was no christianity before Jesus, and it only spread to the romans much, much later.

But are we not putting too much faith in the notion that that J.C alone "invented" Christianity ?. Many of the principals and philosophies of Christianity are to be found in the teachings of earlier Gnostic groups.

Jesus wasn't technically just a carpenter's son, he was a direct descendant of Kind David. However Jews were persecuted as usual (Aren't they always so he did not take a crown.

Brilliant Marketing for Civil order if you ask me. It's quite interesting that We're experiencing another wave thanks to Scientologists. Imagine if in 50 years it becomes the dominant religion. And an actual alien spacecraft lands somewhere on earth and justifies all their insane claims. We'd have to listen to their shit for two millenia.
