Question for those in the UK

    WTF is a "geezer"?

I am listening to a great band called "The Streets" and he uses the term geezer in every song.

Can you explain this to a clueless Canadian?

Nope it means bloke. Otherwise known as a man. Geezer is a term often used by Londoners.

A geezer is pretty much an older guy who is kinda odd

(and I may live in Canada, but I was born and raised in England )

ahaha, im an english boy myself. A geezer is anyone who fancies them self as a bit of a jack-the-lad. Someone who is popular, always socialising, dodgy deals etc.

This explanation is correct, all others above are not accurate.

bullshit. A bloke is a man, a geezer is a type of person. Prince William is a bloke, he is not a geezer.

Well all UK people said the same thing. Only Canadians thought it referred to an old man.

North Americans use it like 'old geezer'.

                              Here it is in context.

"On the streets I'm just a geezer, gotta make ends meet yeah"
                              "Geezers need excitement"

Its all of the above. Perhaps in times gone by it would have referred to an elder guy usually of the working classes. Nowadays its a more generic term for a man usually used by the working classes ;) Except now with the younger generation it also means a guy that is a bit of a jack the lad. So in essence all of the above were correct, you just need to find the context which I suspect is the third example in this instance.
