                          Bumpity bump...

If you're on water, looks like (although I can't be sure) they've made things even WORSE by uploading old backups to sites that weren't affected by the initial crash.

                          Whee!

(It may have been this way a few hours ago and I just now noticed it...but...well, it gave me an excuse to bump.)

Okay...this is actually pretty funny, IMO.

We recently contacted a new host and began negotiating a deal. As for why we wanted to leave our current host, all we said was that we were tired of cat-tossers.

Response from our potental new host: So, what kind of deal do you have with PH?

Ain't it fun when your reputation precedes you...

Yup. At first it seems like a mere inconvenience...until you realize you have about a bazillion cgi and other scripts that you're going to have to rebuild. I learned a long time ago to back up the data, but resetting the frelling permissions is a whole day's work when you have to do it all at once.

(eta - I know I sound like a whiner. I am. So there, nyah nyha nyah.)

In all seriousness - if you have a database-driven site, things MIGHT look okay, because the databases haven't been affected, but if you've updated your interface script, take a second look.
