Human interest stories are meant to boost ratings. The average human doesn't care if he steps on the foot of his neighbor on the subway, but if they put that on national TV and made a headline story out of "subway rudeness, people are so rude to each other!" then people who have never seen a subway care about it.

That serves no purpose other than to fill a time slot and it's fucking stupid.

I care about things, but everything has its time and purpose and scope. This story and the Natalie Hollaway story should NEVER be whored the fuck out.

I agree on the Amber Alert. Here's the thing and I think this is my main point and if you don't get it, you're an ignorant cum stick:

If we had a station dedicated to Amber Alerts and finding missing children, how many people would watch it and keep their eyes peeled on missing kids? How many people would care unless it was sensationalized? My point is, people are whores - this SHOULDN'T be news but it is because human beings are stupid and ignorant. They only care because the media has told them to.

If you didn't see it on CNN you wouldn't care because it's not like any of us volunteer for child rescue operation services or something. We just sit on our chairs and eat up the bullshit.

Human interest pieces have their place: Up your asses.
