I used vinegar for heart burn before. I believe reflux/heartburn can be caused by not having enough acid and that's why the vinegar works.

If its an ulcer, I can strongly recommend slippery elm powder ... it forms a paste on the lining of your stomach/intestines so the acid doesn't eat the holes bigger, and gives your body time to heal itself. Avoid everything acidic like oranges, tomato, sugars etc. Visit a naturopath, when it comes to your tummy, doctors don't know much. Good luck & I'm hoping for the best for you.
