    Image file size too big?

    Where can I find, or what program will reduce the file size of images..

    Batch/folder processing..

    ACDsee 32, PSP7, Photoshop, Fireworks, or virtually any graphics program worth more than .03 cents.

      I have Photoshop 6 & Fireworks 4..
      I could do this with each individual file, however..I have somewhere between 300 & 500 megs of images..I'd rather batch process them..

                      go to the 'automate' section of photoshop 6 .. half way down the 'file' section

                      MUCH easier than doing it by hand.. you don't know how many hours this has saved me... and it's virtually ANYTHING you can do in photoshop that can be automated.. you just have to create an action for it...

                                  I'd suggest comparing the compression results from as many packages as possible. In my experience, for example, PSP is better at compressing images that Photoshop.
