Newbie with membership sites, trying to learn traffic generation

I have two membership sites and now I'm trying to learn the biz of how to get traffic to them, but find myself spinning in circles.

**What is the best option for traffic generating that leads to signups?**
(I know thats the golden question it seems).

TGP's/MGP
FGH
hard link trades
buying traffic
affiliate program (I have one setup via ccbill that hasn't made a buck but has a few signups, it only has banners, no tgp material)
etc...

My sites seem to have a high click to signup ratio since they are niche sites.

misscrystal.com (female domination) - currently 100+ members and slowly falling, most the current members are longterm fans of hers.

boundfortouble.com (single girl fetish model, on the up and up in the LA fetish scene) - within days old with 4 signups and I think it'll become much bigger then my other site.

Just kidding. When I sign up for affiliate accounts I love to see sponsors that have content I can use for galleries or free hosted galleries. They don't have to be hardcore - just a little something to let the surfer know what's inside the members area.

I'm looking into freesites at the moment - they seem to be a good way to grab conversions and search engine traffic. Unfortunately being a n00b myself I can't give you the ins and outs of them but there's loads of sites to help you set up free/feeder sites.

I like your sites! I think the 'slave order' thing could go down well with some of my surfers.

You got started with paysites before learning how to get traffic? Man, you're really doing things upside down.

If you want to get your affiliates to make you sales, you have to provide them with lots of quality material. They'll be glad to use it. If you want to get affiliates you should buy a sig or two on this forum or other adult forums. You can use the buy and sell forum for that.

How did you get your current members? Maybe analyzing that will give you a hint.

Niche is always good. And if you convert well, you should have no trouble retaining active affiliates. Now just make sure that you have excellent affiliate material and get affiliates to promote your site. They'll get you the traffic. And then you can learn by following their examples.

I should have plenty of photos for the misscrystal.com site to support fgh's and tgp's. About how many photos are needed and how often, to keep my affiliates happy? I can work on more for boundfortrouble.com

What is the buying a sig about? I thought your sig is just whatever you choose to put in it? I think I'm missing something there.
