Three inches of rain in less than 20 minutes in Madison.I lost one large branch off a tree.

Never any exciting weather stories to tell here.

We get rain, and lots of it. Although the past few weeks we've had sun, and lots of it.

I actually prefer the rain to this exteme heat...

The only time I was "in" a tornado, I missed it. Our neighbors were round to dinner, we didn't have the TV on and we hadn't heard the sirens. There was a noise like an express train which lasted a few minutes and we went outside to see one of our trees blown over and our roof and yard covered in debris.

The debris turned out to be a store from about 150 feet away which had been completely ripped off its concrete lot and torn to pieces. We didn't learn that or about the F3 tornado which had come through the center of town until a while later.

Well the Tornado has moved away and we have emerged from the basement to pour another cocktail and slow down our heart rate .

Not so fun, the excitement factor wasn't so great.

Last year a tornado just missed us, and tore right through a damn trailer park on the other side of the interstate about a mile away. Killed 20 people or so there. It stayed on the ground for a couple miles and damaged about 500 houses.

never experienced Tornado or Some El nino, but i live among volcanos - will not surprise if will have to tell you about this experence in a time.

tornados are amazing experiences... i live in a very active tornado area i see them all the time

me and my dad used to put on rain suits and sit out in the yard and watch tornados

a few times when we were farming we were in the barn milking the cows when a tornado ripped through and tossed one of our silos ontop of an old work truck right next to the barn

another time we sat in the yard and watched a tornado rip through the town demolitioning everything in its path

im 23 and lived 4 years of my life in oklahoma and only experianced 7 tornados..

thats when i wasnt ill and could work hehe
