My wifey won us a fucking CRUISE!!!!!!

About a couple months ago my girl was buying pizza for us at Hungry Howies and she registered to win a free cruise and a little bit ago we got a call saying we fucking won!!! We do have to pay $90 per person port fee to go into the Bahamas and $87.50 registration fee each (me and her), which makes that a total of $355.00 total for me and my fiance to go on a 4 day, 3 night cruise to the Bahamas! The cruise is paid for, the food is paid for and the resort we'll stay in at the Bahamas is paid for. We just got off the phone with the owner of Security Travel and we don't have to pay $1 more than the $355 mentioned above! We can book the cruise for anytime before 18 months. Since me and Vanessa are planning on getting married a couple weeks after Internext, we'll use the cruise as our honey moon trip. I still cant fucking believe we got such a nice deal!!! A 4 day, 3 night cruise for $355 is a nice fucking deal!! They also fly us to Miami for free to get on the cruise ship!! This is the first time i ever win something like this and its a good fucking feeling! It's time to partay!!!!!

L.J. .. i hate to step on your toes.. but you just got scammed. it is without a doubt a scam. how do i know? when i was in college, for about 8 days i worked for a telemarketing firm that did the exact same pitch you just described. they got shut down by the Florida Attorney General and got sued by Robin Leach for using his likeness.

unfortunately, your cruise is a total scam.. but if you want to check it and prove me wrong.. by all means do so!

Yes, it's and old trick ... there's hidden fees, but I thought they made you pay for the flight ... or the cruise ... something!

Anyhow, I'd really check the fine print on that. They use to target restaurants, fast food joints, etc. with the "FREE CRUISE" ballot boxes.

People contacted by Midwest Marketing were informed that they were "guaranteed winners" of one of five prizes which included: 1) a Mazda Miata, 2) $5000 in cash, 3) five dream vacations, 4) a home entertainment center, and 5) $1000 in cash.

The "winners" were then told that in order to receive their prize they would simply have to pay certain promotional fees and taxes on the prize.

The telemarketers made a "sale" when someone agreed to pay these fees and taxes. Of course, none of this money actually went to pay any promotional fees or taxes, and the "customers" were never told that they were purchasing anything.

Some were told what their prize would be, while others agreed to send in the requested money without knowing which of the items they were going to receive. After people sent in their money, they would generally receive five vacation vouchers, though some people were sent a bracelet and many received nothing at all.

The company would purchase the vacation packages for $45 and the bracelets for $50 from Premium Research, a company that specialized in selling such items to telemarketers. Persons who "won" these prizes, however, were asked to send in more than $200 for taxes and fees. The average amount requested for the vacation package was $249.49.

People were naturally quite disappointed by the vacation packages they were sent, since the five one-week packages did not include airfare or any transportation expenses, did not cover food, taxes, or other costs, and had other restrictions. Essentially the "packages" were certificates for one week of lodging at specific hotels, in specific cities, with no guaranteed availability. Most victims considered the vouchers worthless.

Just double check before you send the 300 bucks.

I doubt they are going to tell you the truth.

wow.. i didnt know that there are many scams like this... my uncle won a cruise before and had to pay about 400 bucks but it was lagit and he got to go on a cruise with my aunt. We have to go to their office in St. Pete on friday... I am going to be very careful and check them out before i dish out any cash. I think im going to do some google research also right now. Thanks for the heads up guys! Like always.. all the fucking scammers fuck it up for all the lagit companies that do this. Fucking sucks. Anyways, im not bursting my bubble just yet, im gonna check them out and see what its all about before i break bread. I would really like this to be a lagit one though... it would suck if Hungry Howies let some scammers scam their customers right out of their own store though

Back when I did auto sales we use to give away that shit just for coming in a taking a test drive.

It's a scam in that you'll either end up paying enough in fees to actually cover the cost of the cruise and/or it has some time share or other sales pitch attached to it.

Our GM said he paid $30 for the cruises
