You know how most DVDs don't allow you to skip or fast forward through all of the copyright shit? Now I've seen it all - my daughters Dora DVD won't let you press the STOP button during the intro.

I always get furious when that shit happens and /rant about how that shit only gets shown on the legal discs and not on the copied illegal ones... Like: I BOUGHT OR HIRED THE FUCKING DISC, yet YOU want to tell ME about that fucking stealing motherfucker with that stupid car example?!!?Comment

What about the fact that DVD's are always in those shitty hard to open packages with stickers guarding every edge that you have to cut open.
Takes 5 minutes just to open one,
and on top of that.. your more likely to watch the movie on tv if you see it, rather than pop in the dvd

Over time I have had a few DVDs that wouldn't let you skip the previews. If you tried any button you got the little "x" signal on the screen. I have to say it kind of annoyed me. If you are renting the movie, it might be one thing, but if you own the DVD it would piss me off to be forced to watch 10 minutes of previews every time I wanted to watch the movie.Comment

i stopped buying dvds after getting netflix, and now just instant watch movies when i have time to sit down... i dont even use dvds anymore really.
by next year ill be single clicking and watching any movie i want, dvds are on the way oput

Now that I think of it, the only people who have to watch that are legit buyers. People who download DVD rips off torrent sites will only get to see the movie without the shitty ads and copyright notice

My favorite are the ones where you hit play on the actual menu screen after you have passed all the bullshit and there is another 5 mins of previews attached to the actual start of the movie.
