1. About 2-3 minutes. (It doesn't show me the total time...I started to count, and then I just estimated!)

In WMP, 1st one is 21 seconds and the second 57...No idea what version

thanks....it's definitely a codec/WMP issue, I guess --- no idea WHAT the issue is exactly, but that helps.

showing as a MPEG-1 Muxed, not sure if that tidbit helps ya.

WMP 11 by default does not display the time at all when "classic
menus" are used. If you turn the classic menus off, the time display
is at the TOP of the window.

thanks, but it's not an issue of the time displaying - it's an issue of the clip being truncated in some versions of WMP but not others...apparently a codec issue, I'd guess.

yeah, it has to be a codec issue

the first thing I though of was ensuring your video dude uses a proven method [codec, encoding program] that you can see has worked before for you or his other projects

He does (pinnacle, vegas and imTOO), but he keeps changing settings to try to improve performance...and god only knows what he's done

Thanks, this is really strange, it works for some people with WMP, not others, and it's not version-specific
